Lisa Smith Sanders
Attorney at Law

Lisa Sanders was born and raised in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, and is proud to have headquartered her family's practice there today. After graduating from Harvard University in three years with a Bachelor's in Government, Lisa traveled south to U.T. for law school. She first began to gain experience in government contract law at a private firm in San Antonio.
Lisa moved to D.C. in the late 1980s, where she became an attorney at the reputed Beltway firm Spriggs & Hollingsworth, specializing in government contracts. In 1992, Lisa became General Counsel for the non-profit organization Experience Works (formerly Green Thumb), which provides training and employment search services to the elderly.
In 1998, Lisa left work in D.C. to join her husband Norman at his private practice in Upper Marlboro. In 2006, she was nominated and sworn into the United States Supreme Court Bar Association.
Lisa is an active member of her community. She and Norman have three children, all of whom are graduates of the Calvert County Public School System. Lisa currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Calvert Marine Museum and as Counsel to the Calvert County Board of Appeals. She is a member and previous board member of the Calvert Minority Business Alliance.
I want your family to flourish.
